This Fall 2026, we’re knitting together again! Join me for the Tiger Lily Abode Shawl Knit-A-Long, where we’ll work our way through the beautiful Abode Shawl pattern step-by-step.
I’ll be sharing weekly tutorial videos throughout November, along with tips, encouragement, and all the KAL fun over on my Patreon.
All KAL tutorials, updates & information will be available on my Patreon
(only to KAL Kit participants as this is a PAID FOR pattern): Tiger Lily Designs on Patreon
I am SO excited about this one because I’ve curated a special Tiger Lily Abode Shawl Knit-A-Long Kit with everything you need to join us—including three gorgeous colorways to choose from!
I discovered Ikigai Fiber when I met the owner at H&H in Chicago. She had a sample of the Abode Shawl in the Sunset Blooms colorway on display, and I immediately thought, “This would be such a fun KAL for my Tiger Lily friends!”
The Abode Shawl is a gorgeous knitted shawl featuring an eye-catching geometric pattern. And if mosaic knitting sounds intimidating—don’t worry! You only work with ONE color at a time. We’ll walk through it together step-by-step during the KAL.
Ikigai Fiber and I worked together to create three different Tiger Lily color combinations, so hopefully there’s one that makes your yarn-loving heart happy:
🌊 Lake Days
Pacific • Chartreuse • Smudge • 2 Aquamarine
🩷 Tiger Lily Pink & Teal
Mulberry • Pacific • Smudge • 2 Salt
🌸 Sunset Blooms
Dijon • Brick • Orchid • 2 Blossom
The sample shawl shown in the photos is knit in this colorway.
Finished Shawl: approximately 53″ wingspan × 20″ deep
Paka Washi is a dreamy, lightweight DK/sport-weight yarn made from 50% Baby Alpaca and 50% Merino Wool. It has a beautiful soft halo, a smooth feel, and wonderful drape—perfect for a shawl you’ll actually want to wear.
Even better, the fibers are treated using Ikigai Fiber’s Easy Wash process, making the yarn machine washable without the harsh chemicals traditionally associated with superwash treatments.
Fiber: 50% Baby Alpaca Easy Wash • 50% Merino Wool Easy Wash
Yardage: 135 yds / 123 m per 50g skein
Gauge: 23–25 sts = 4″ / 10 cm • US 5–7 (3.75–4.5 mm)
Care: Machine wash cold • Lay flat to dry
Easy Wash uses gentle enzymatic and oxidizing treatments to remove the scales from the fibers, allowing the finished yarn to be machine washable. It’s designed as a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional superwash methods—so you get easier-care yarn without sacrificing that gorgeous natural-fiber feel.
Good yarn. Good company. Brighter days. 🩷
Pre-orders will close on or before October 1st. Some of the kit goodies have limited availability and can’t be reordered, so if they sell out early, I may need to close pre-orders sooner.
The official Abode Shawl Knit-A-Long is planned to begin around November 1st. Please follow along on Patreon for all the latest details, as our start date may shift by a week or two depending on when all of the kit supplies arrive and when I’m able to get everything shipped out to you.
Throughout November, I’ll be sharing weekly tutorial videos to help you along the way. Our goal? A beautiful finished Abode Shawl by December 1st! 🩷
I can’t wait to knit this one with you! 🧶✨
