Are you ready for some Project Bag Making Fun? This Harvest Moon exclusive Tiger Lily pattern is perfect for everyone, from the adventurous beginner to the advanced bag maker. The featured front cover is made using foundation paper piecing, and we will add an accent center raised motif finished with Chenille-It trim.
Here is the Shopping List with Links (if available) for both the Materials & Basic Equipment I love:
Materials Needed:
- Quilt Fabric – Please reference your pattern for the specific sizes and needs. This would be a great stash buster or even scrap buster. Or if you want to treat yourself to a new bundle, a fat quarter bundle with at least 10 different fabrics will be enough for everything (front cover starburst, front cover solid, and binding) EXCEPT the interior fabric. You could piece scraps together to make the interior piece measuring 14″ x 32″ piece OR you will need a 1/2 yard cut of one coordinating fabric.
Fat Quarter Shop (FQS) does Custom Curated Mini 12 Fat Quarter Bundles (many times making it much more affordable than the full line FQ bundle). This would be PERFECT for this bag.
- 1 yard piece of 2 sided Fusible Foam
- 16″ Long Pull Zipper – I buy ALL my zippers from Zip It on Etsy. or you can get a white By Annie Zipper from FQS
- 12″ of Chenille-It Trim on Etsy
- Foundation Piecing Paper – My Favorite is Kristy Lea Foundation Papers on FQS or Carols Doaks on Amazon
